Over the years, I taught at the universities of Trier, Bremen, Munich and Graz. Yet, most of my courses were at the University of Minnesota. I was very pleased when I received the CLA Student Board's Distinguished Teacher Award and two advising awards from the Department of Sociology at Minnesota.
